Brockington and Associates is seeking experienced temporary archaeological field technicians based in our Savannah, GA office for field work in throughout the US. The work requires individuals with a bachelor's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field, and a minimum of field school or the equivalent field experience.
Job responsibilities include the ability to conduct shovel testing and/or other unit excavations, artifact identification, note-taking, recording soil and other observations, field photography, use of handheld Global Positioning Systems devices, and general tasks under the direction of the Project Manager.
Travel, physical labor, lifting, walking long distances, and time spent in outdoor conditions are requirements of this job.
Work schedule will include 40-hour weeks. No overtime is expected on these assignments. When travel is required (most projects) we pay travel time and provide vehicles or airfare. We also provide single-occupancy hotel rooms and meal allowance when travel is required.

Base wages are $11 to $15 per hour. On Federal work, we pay according to each project’s assigned wage determination, generally $17 - $19 per hour. We offer a benefits stipend, or company benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, life, 401(k), and paid time off.
