Brockington and Associates is seeking temporary archaeological field technicians based in our Atlanta, GA office for field work. The work requires individuals to have a Bachelors degree; college students working towards it will be considered.
Job responsibilities include the ability to conduct shovel testing and/or other unit excavations, artifact identification, note-taking, recording soil and other observations, field photography, use of handheld Global Positioning Systems devices, and general tasks under the direction of the Project Manager.
Travel, physical labor, lifting, walking long distances, and time spent in outdoor conditions are requirements of this job.
Work schedule will likely be through January only. No overtime is expected on these assignments. Travel will be required (most projects) we pay travel time and provide vehicles or airfare. We also provide single-occupancy hotel rooms and meal allowance when travel is required.

Base wages are $11 per hour. On Federal work, we pay according to each project’s assigned wage determination, generally $17 - $19 per hour.
